GRANTHAM, Pa.- On Saturday evening, the Hood College men's soccer went on the road against the Falcons of Messiah University falling 7-1 in the contest.

Caleb Terry (Severn, Md./Annapolis Area Christian).

How it Happened
It wouldn't take long for the Falcons offense to get rolling as they earned the earlier advantage over the Blazers 1-0.
The Blazers looked to respond shortly after with a goal attempt by
Cam Simpler (Middletown, Del./Appoquinimink), but the Falcons goalkeeper made a crucial save to persevere the early lead.
Messiah stayed aggressive offensively and found the back of the net and extended their lead 2-0 over Hood.
The Blazers looked to cut into the lead as
Caleb Terry (Severn, Md./Annapolis Area Christian) maneuvered past a Falcons defender and passed the ball off to teammate
Adrian Corsi (Centreville, Va./Westfield) who made a sliding acrobatic shot to make the score 2-1.
The Falcons felt the momentum of the Corsi goal and looked to get back the previous two goal lead over the Blazers, but first year
Adam Labows (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) stood tall in goal and made the save to stop the potential goal.
Despite the Blazers defense settling into the contest, the Falcons added another just before entering the halftime to make the score 3-1.
Headed into halftime, the Blazers had a battle on their hands against the Falcons and looked for a strong second half to turn things around.
To start the second half, the Blazers out the gate were more aggressive, as
Danny Rivera (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) fired a shot to cut into the lead, but Falcons goalie stood firm and earned another save in the match.
The Falcons caught fire in the second half and added four more goals to extend their lead 7-1 to end the contest.
Despite the loss, the Blazers season will continue as they will enter postseason play in the MAC playoffs as they look to make a run for a conference title.

Analysis
Messiah was aggressive offensively all contest and held a strong in advantage in shots 40-3.
Hood led in saves 10-2.
Messiah led Hood in corner kicks 6-2.
