FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood College women's ice hockey team was unable to reproduce its previous results against Middle Atlantic Conference foe Arcadia University, falling 5-0 at home.

Kamryn Sohner (Hilliard, Oh./Dallas Stars Elite AAA) who finished the game with 13 saves.
How it Happened
Both teams had several good opportunities in the first half of the first period, but it would be Arcadia who struck first at 8:45 into the period, then shocking Hood by adding another goal 38 seconds later to suddenly put the home team in a 2-0 hole. The Blazers got more shots through the defense but could not get it past the goalie to go into the first intermission still trailing by two.
Hood had an early opportunity in the second period after the Knights were called for cross checking, but still could not get a shot past Ava Zoppo despite peppering the net. The momentum would quickly shift once again when Arcadia made it 3-0 just over a minute after getting back to even strength. The Knights would add two more goals to their tally before the end of the period.
Neither team would get on the board in the third period, as Arcadia fought off the last Hood attack down a player for the final minute of play to hand the Blazers their first loss of the season.
