FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team defeated the Monarchs of King's College 12-3 in a nonconference match up.

How it Happened
- In the first quarter of play Hood showed an early dominance as in the quarter the Blazers went up 5-0. Pryzbocki got the ball rolling scoring her first goal after headlining a successful clear by Hood after a caused turnover by Bolingbroke. Pryzbocki then won the following draw and gave the Blazers' another offensive opportunity in which the team capitalized on with a goal from Stanley. Just two minutes later Pryzbocki scored her second goal to make it 3-0. With just under three minutes left in the quarter Massey found the back of the net and finally with a minute and two seconds left in the quarter Stanely knocked back her second on the day. Heading into the second quarter, Hood led by five.
- The Blazers carried their offensive prowes into the second quarter as Stanley opened the first thirty seconds of the quarter with her third goal of the day. Burnette then contributed to the fun scoring her first and only on the day to give Hood a 7-goal lead. The Monarchs finally struck back as King's Chloe Burke managed to score two goals in transition immediately following two successful clears. The Blazers' responded with two more goals of their own starting with a fastbreak goal by Menna Salem (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley). Then with time running down in the first half Pryzbocki took a strike after receiving a pass from Alanna Lee (Alexandria, Va./Mount Vernon) to put Hood up 9-2 going into the third quarter.
- In the third quarter both teams showed immaculate defenses as both teams only managed to score once in the quarter. Hood scored first off, an eight-meter goal by Massey. Then Burke found the back of the net for a third time to cut Hood's lead to seven. Going into the final quarter of play the Blazers led 10-3.
- In the opening minutes of the fourth quarter Rachel Harper (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) found the back of the net as she took advantage of King's penalty that led to an extra woman opportunity. Then with five minutes and forty-one seconds left in regulation Stanley scored her fourth goal on the day, while being down a player and danced to Whoomp! (There It Is) by Tag Team to cap off scoring. As the final buzzer sounded Hood was the ultimate victor with a final score of 12-3.
