Â
Three minutes into the action Brooks found

th point to continue building upon an impressive career. Excelling in a facilitator role, Brooks set Stanley up to score her first goal of the game and put Hood up 2-0.
Abbey Bolingbroke (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) made her presence felt on defense and continued getting the Blazers extra possessions. Brooks took advantage and found the back of the net to score her first goal of the game and push the lead to 3-0. Gregory won the ensuing draw control and Stanley scored another goal seconds later.
Abby Burnette (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) drew multiple defenders, then passed to Gregory who scored yet another goal for Hood. Stanley scored another goal, as the quarter finished, to secure the 6-0 lead for the Blazers.
Â
Rachel Harper (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) scored early in the second quarter to push the lead and keep the crowd celebrating. She then went on to find
Menna Salem (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) to score another goal and lengthen the list of different Blazers to score. Ava Weiman scored the first goal for the Eagles to get them on the board and make the score 8-1. Natalia Willoughby scored shortly after to make the score 8-2. Brooks made her way through Eastern's defense and scored to give the Blazers a 9-2 lead and complete the hat-trick as halftime approached.
Â
The second half began with a goal from Burnette. Following a penalty on an Eastern defender, Bolingbroke powered through the defense and scored to make the lead 11-2. With nine minutes remaining in the quarter,
Katy Przybocki (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) sped past her defender and scored her first goal of the contest. Next, Brooks won the draw control and beat the Eagles' defense herself to score another goal on her Senior Day. As the rout continued, Stanley set Przybocki up to score another goal and make the lead 14-2. After another goal for Eastern, Harper made the most of a free position shot and scored to give the Blazers a 15-3 lead heading into the final frame.
Â
The steady drizzle throughout the game turned into a downpour in the fourth quarter, yet Hood's offense still could not be stopped. Burnette and Stanley scored a pair of goals to push the lead to 17-3. The Eagles scored one final goal before lightening became a concern and the officials called the game.
