FREDERICK, Md. – With the release of the All-MAC Commonwealth postseason awards, it was announced that
Rebecca Gottleib (Linthicum, Md./North County),
Kara Heidlauf (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal High School),
Jocelyn Pfleiger (Quakertown, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy), and
Sam Larkin (Pasadena, Md/Chesapeake High School) all earned spots on the All-Conference team. Gottleib and Heidlauf were nominated to First Team, with Pfleiger and Larkin each snagging Honorable Mention for their play in the 2025 season.
Gottleib, a senior, is no stranger to this list, as she caps her career with her fourth straight First Team Utility player nomination. The pitcher/outfielder has been a cornerstone of the Blazers for the past four years, and she continued her success on both sides of the ball this year, finishing with a monster .425 batting average at the plate and an incredible 3.17 ERA in the circle. Gottleib takes several program records with her as well, including career strikeouts, hits, and most strikeouts in a game.
Heidlauf broke out in her sophomore year, finishing with a .371 batting average and a team-leading five home runs, also racking up 23 RBIs and a 1.077 OPS. This is her first appearance on the All-Conference list and making it to First Team in just her second season shows a bright future ahead.
Pfleiger ends her career at Hood College with a solid season at first base with a .344 average and 24 RBIs, walking away with 188 career hits. This also marks her third time being nominated on the All-Conference awards list, being named Rookie of the Year in 2022.
After sitting out her first year due to injury, sophomore
Sam Larkin (Pasadena, Md/Chesapeake High School) made her first full season count, earning an Honorable Mention nod with a .326 batting average and lockdown play at third base, managing the hot corner with ease. With both speed and home run potential, there's a lot to look forward to in the coming seasons.
The Blazers finished 23-18 (8-6) and made the MAC Commonwealth Championships as the No. 3 seed, defeating Alvernia for their first playoff berth and win since 2017.
