ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa – The men's soccer team held on to win against the Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College 1-0 on Wednesday night.

The first half featured the defensive stronghold by both teams.
Jackson Quenzer (Westminster, Md./Gerstell Academy) looked to get the Blazers offense rolling but his shot missed just high of the goal.
Cristian Topovich (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) would stay on the attack for Hood but was denied by Blue Jays goalie who made the save

Heading into the half the teams were knotted at 0-0 in a defensive battle with neither side able to break the tie despite a few close chances.
The second half saw Cristian Topovich (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) find teammate
Terrell Funchess (Taneytown, Md./Henry E. Lackey) who would seize the moment and scored against the Blue Jays giving the Blazers a 1-0 lead.
Looking for the equalizer shortly after the Funchess goal the Blue Jays would continue to test Labows in goal firing off a shot but he continued to showcase his composure by saving another goal.
The teams would continue to trade shots for the remainder of the match and in the Blue Jays last attempt to break even with the Blazers saw Adian Valetine miss a shot that was just wide left of the goal.
The Blazers would hold onto to beat the Blue Jays in a game that showcased the defensive of prowess on both sides.
