FREDERICK, Md. - The women's soccer team celebrated faculty and staff appreciation night pregame before dropping the match against Shenandoah 4-0 on Tuesday night.
Inside the Box Score
Ashley Stine (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) racked up 15 saves on the night.
Adrianna Escobar (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) got a shot up on the stout defense.
How it Happened
Shenandoah's attack played daring with shots from outside the box testing the young keeper with the sunset right into her eyes. The Hornets placed shots off the ground and Stine played big in goal posting six saves just as 20 minutes had past.
The game's first card was in favor of the visitors and set up a free kick right at the edge of the box. The Hornets would sting and score just before the half ended.
The Blazers would battle at the wings against strong frames of upperclassmen attackers diffuse the push.
Eventually, Shenandoah cashed in on failed clear later in the second half and took the driver's seat in the match.
For the Opponent
Four different players put one in the net, McKenna Newcome with six shots on goal.
