CHESTER, PA. – A banged-up No. 16 men's basketball team escapes a trap game at Widener to start the final stretch of conference play with a 104-97 win on the road to extend to 8-0 conference play on Saturday afternoon.
Inside the Box Score
Jevon Yarbrough (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) scores 29 points and dishes eight assists.
Jude Huseby (Frederick, Md./Urbana) enters double double territory with 23 points and 12 rebounds and added five assists to his day.

How it Happened
Hood dropped their first four buckets down-and-in in their first four possessions including two
Gage Linton (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) triples while the Pride turned over the rock during their first three. The Blazers started on a 16-3 run on enemy soil.
The Pride would start to clean up on the defensive glass and a 10-point explosion by Myles Bright would surge the hosts back into contention with two points just before half.
In a game led by Hood for the majority became tied for minutes into the second half and unfamiliar territory began to travel playing from behind.
Troy Fulton (Denver, N.C./Lincoln Charter) would sub in with 13 minutes left and 20 seconds later sink a three and his four of his five triples down the stretch in the second to represent the Hood threat beyond the arc.
Later, Huseby would go to work by fighting for a board and going coast to coast to create a five point spread, later given room by a driving Yarbrough to hit a dagger from the top of the key that gave the Blazers their largest lead at 96-88 since early in the half. Yarbrough would soon go to work and take on fouls and go a perfect 8-for-8 from the line to safeguard from the climbing foes.
"You wouldn't think it by looking at the score, but that's as satisfied I've been with a win for a while," said head coach
Chad Dickman. "We had a lot of obstacles we had to overcome but our guys really showed up today and got it done."
"It probably wasn't the best gameplan on my end, but we took Widener's best shot and found a way to win. I'm extremely proud of the way our guys stuck together and battled for 40 minutes. That's not an easy place to play by any means."
