FAIRFAX, Va. — The Hood College men's track & field team delivered their share of competitive performances at the Father Diamond Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Top Times
Chris Sappe (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) crossed in 4:23.17, achieving a personal best and placing among the top collegiate milers in the event while breaking the program's mile record yet again this year.
Hood featured two athletes in the 800m, both turning in solid races,
Alonzo Miles (Washington, DC/KIPP DC College Prep) ran a 2:07.78, notching a personal record and placing 13th against a strong field.
Leule Yohannes (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) followed with a season-best 2:14.30, continuing to show progress as he settles into the indoor season.
The distance crew produced two Top 10's in the 3000m with
Warren Hersh (Havre de Grace, Md./The Tome School) recording a 9:46.75, improving his season form and placing 6th.
Ramzee Keyrouz (Bethesda, MD/Walter Johnson) followed with a 10:14.93, finishing 7th.
In the Field
The pole vault proved to be one of the highlights of the meet for the Blazers with
Neil Rozario (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area High School) and
Ian Pezenosky () clearing 3.55m, securing a share of the second spot.
