FREDERICK, Md. – Double digit base hits on the day for the Blazers proved that big swings could take down Mary Baldwin 13-10 and 12-6 on Saturday afternoon.
On the Mound

Finn Scott-Daniels (Annandale, Va./Annandale) got the win in game two allowing three earned runs in three innings of work.

How it Happened – Hood 13, Mary Baldwin 10
Early action began as Chisolm reached base and stole second and then stole home in the same inning giving Hood a 1–0 lead in the opening frame.
Mary Baldwin responded with two runs in the bottom half, but Hood immediately countered.
Harrison Ludington (Woodbridge, Va/Forest Park) singled home a run, and Chisolm delivered another RBI single, flipping the score to 3–2 in favor of the Blazers.
Hood broke the game open in the third and fifth innings thanks to a barrage of extra-base hits including
Jonathan Tyndall (Felton, Del./Lake Forest) doubling in a run, extending the lead to 4–2 and
Ty Broughton (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) followed with an RBI double, making it 5–2. In the fifth, Seely smashed a bases-clearing three-RBI double to center, widening the margin to 8–5. Although Mary Baldwin managed to tie the game twice through the first five innings, Hood kept answering with more offense.
With a one-run game heading in the sixth inning until Gannon torched a homer to center to push the Blazers into cruise control. Seely stroked his second double of the day shortly after to score Broughton to give the Blazers a comfortable lead.
How it Happened – Hood 12, Mary Baldwin 6
Hood wasted no time establishing momentum. Chisolm opened the game with a triple, and
Rhett Robbins (Frederica, Del./Lake Forest) followed with an RBI double to put the Blazers on the board. An RBI from
AJ Haines (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) pushed the early lead to 2–0.
After Mary Baldwin answered with a run in the bottom half, the Blazers erupted again in the third. Gannon launched a three-run homer to center field, extending the advantage to 5–1 and igniting the Hood dugout.
Hood delivered its biggest offensive punch in the fourth inning, sending seven runs across the plate and seizing full control.
Amrit Brown's (Asheville, N.C./Asheville) two-RBI single, aided by an outfield error with Seely's two-RBI single to left, extending the lead. Tyndall's three-run home run to left field, capping the explosive inning and pushing the margin to 12–3. Despite a three-run Mary Baldwin response in the fifth, Hood's cushion proved more than enough.
