YORK, Pa. – The Hood College baseball wins their fourth MAC Commonwealth conference series of the season after falling in game one 5-3, used a late surge a variety of arms to retire York College of Pennsylvania 13–12, in the second game of a MAC Commonwealth Conference doubleheader Friday afternoon at Jaquet Field.
On the Mound
Aaron Heller (Philadelphia, Pa./Jack Barrack Hebrew Acad.) got the call in game one and allowed three runs on four hits in his three innings of work.
Finn Scott-Daniels (Annandale, Va./Annandale) got the game two start and allowed just two runs on three hits through the first four innings while sitting down six batters.
Mason Potter (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) and
Mason Salisbury (Colora, Md./Perryville) clean outing in the second game earned them the win and save respectively.

Jonathan Tyndall (Felton, Del./Lake Forest) racks up four hits on the day, two doubles in game two.
Rhett Robbins (Frederica, Del./Lake Forest) and
AJ Haines (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) have three-hit games in the second half of the doubleheader.
Amrit Brown (Asheville, N.C./Asheville) draws three more walks and collects three RBIs on the day.
How it Happened – York Pa. 5, Hood 3
The Spartans struck first in the bottom of the opening inning, using a pair of singles to plate an unearned run and take an early 1–0 lead. Heller limited the damage by recording a strikeout to end the frame.
After both teams were held scoreless in the second inning, York added to its lead in the third. A leadoff double set the table, and after a sacrifice bunt moved the runner to third, Richard Kline launched a two-run home run to right, extending the Spartans' advantage to 3–0.
Hood responded in the top of the fourth with its best offensive inning of the afternoon. Tyndall worked a walk and advanced to third on a single by
Rhett Robbins (Frederica, Del./Lake Forest).
Ty Broughton (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) followed with a base hit to right field to drive in Tyndall and put the Blazers on the board. Later,
Sean Seely (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) delivered an RBI single to left to score Robbins. Hood tied the game moments later when Broughton crossed the plate on a wild pitch, evening the score at 3–3.
York regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth, taking advantage of traffic on the bases. The Spartans loaded the bases with a hit-by-pitch and two walks before Brett Michael lined an RBI single to left. Joe Urban followed with a sacrifice fly to center, pushing York back in front 5–3.

The Blazers struck quickly in the top of the first, taking advantage of early Spartan miscues.
Jonathan Tyndall (Felton, Del./Lake Forest) reached on an error and moved into scoring position before
Rhett Robbins (Frederica, Del./Lake Forest) delivered a single to put runners on the corners.
AJ Haines (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) followed with a walk, and
Amrit Brown (Asheville, N.C./Asheville) lifted a sacrifice fly to left to bring home the game's first run. Hood added another when Robbins scored on a throwing error later in the frame to take a 2–0 lead after one.
York answered in the fourth inning, capitalizing on errors from the Blue & Grey to plate two runs and even the game at 2–2. Hood quickly responded in the top half of the fourth as Robbins came through again with an RBI single, giving the Blazers a 3–2 edge.
The Spartans regained momentum in the bottom of the sixth, pushing across three runs to move in front 5–3. Hood answered emphatically in the top of the seventh. After Haines reached base and
Ty Broughton (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) drew a walk,
Kamari Chisolm (Gainesville, Va./Bishop O'Connell) delivered a clutch two-run double to right field, trimming the deficit to 5–5.
York followed with a four-run seventh inning, extending the lead to 9–5 and continued pressure on the Blazers.
The Blazers rallied in the eighth. Tyndall doubled and later scored on a single by Haines before Brown crushed a two-run homer, swinging the momentum back to Hood and with the Blazers at a one-run deficit.
Back at it again in the ninth, a pair of hits and a double from Tyndall that drove in two runs to tie the game put Hood in front while Robbins, Haines and Broughton capped the scoring with an RBI swings pushing the Blazers ahead 13–9.
York responded with three runs in the bottom of the ninth, setting the scene on what would be a dramatic ninth inning.
Mason Salisbury (Colora, Md./Perryville) worked out of a bases-loaded jam recording the final outs to secure the save and seal the comeback victory.
