How it Happened
The Blazers defense got blitzed earlier into the first quarter as the Falcons scored just 44 seconds into the game. Hood was unable to find their footing offensively, and Messiah took full advantage of this by going up 6-0 with just over two minutes remaining in the first.

Emma Massey (Felton, Del./Lake Forest) was blocked to try and get the Blazers on the board to end the first quarter.
The Falcons continued their attack and went up 10-0 against the Blazers. A
Maggie Merrill (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) goal with two minutes left before halftime helped the Blazers put points on the board and gain some momentum. Messiah took away any momentum that Hood might've had after the Merrill goal, as they netted another goal with nine seconds remaining before half.
The Blazers were down 11 to 1 headed into the half. The second half was the more of the same as the Falcons stayed aggressive offensively and added five goals in the third.
