YORK, Pa. – The Hood College men's golf team wrapped up regular season competition at the 2026 Spring Spartan Men's Invitational with a fourth-place finish with the course playing in favor of the golfers with some good marks to be had on the cards this past Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of York.
 
On the Scorecards

Griffin Cansler (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) paced the Blazers for the tournament, finishing third overall in the individual standings. Cansler posted rounds of 77 and 73, finishing at 150 (+6) for the event. After an opening-round 77, he responded with a steady second-round 73 (+1) with an even front nine and three total birdies on the day.

David Nuckolls (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) followed closely behind, placing fourth overall. Nuckolls recorded rounds of 79 and 72 to finish at 151 (+7). He delivered one of the best second rounds of any player in the field, firing an even-par 72 to complete the tournament strong. He led the squad with eight birdies on the day.

Mac Arida (Gambrills, Md./Crofton) finished in 18th place overall after rounds of 82 and 79, posting a 161(+17) tournament total. Arida used an eagle on Hole 14 to boost his day 1 back nine and then went even on the back nine on day two to improve his total score by three strokes.

Rowan Foose (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) placed T-25th at 168 (+24). He carded rounds of 86 and 82, gaining momentum in the second round with birdies on Hole 9 and Hole 14.

Dylan Chinboot (Centreville, Va./Westfield) rounded out Hood's lineup posting rounds of 85 and 87, finishing at 172 (+28) for the event. 
 
On the Leaderboard

York Pa. takes their own outing with a team score of 598.

Adam Gorman of the Spartans takes the top spot with a 142 (-2) on the outing. 

Hood finishes fourth out of the five squads, just eight strokes behind Stevenson.

The squad will prepare for the MAC Championship this weekend set to take place at the Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. starting on Saturday, April 25 and finishing on Sunday, April 26.
