FLEETWOOD, Pa. — The Hood College men's golf team turned in a strong performance on Saturday afternoon, finishing fifth at the 2026 MAC Commonwealth Preview & Albright Lions Spring Invitational at Golden Oaks Golf Club.
On the Scorecards
Nathan Leppo (Finksburg, MD/Westminster) and
Rowan Foose (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) led the way for Hood, as both golfers carded rounds of 74 (+2) to finish tied for seventh overall in the individual standings. Leppo was steady throughout the day, recording 11 pars and three birdies, while Foose capitalized on the par-5s, playing them at 1-under for the round.
Senior
Griffin Cansler (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) and junior
David Nuckolls (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) rounded out the scoring four for the Blazers, each finishing with a 79 (+7) to tie for 33rd. Cansler collected 11 pars on the afternoon, while Nuckolls added three birdies to help keep Hood in the mix. Sophomore
Cole Beakes (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) posted an 83 (+11) to complete the lineup.
On the Leaderboard
York Pa. finishes with a pair of 294s to take the MAC Preview crown.
Peyton Moyer shoots a 66 to take the individual top spot.
Hood finishes with a pair of 306s to land in fifth place just two strokes away from a podium finish.
