Box Score ARLINGTON, VA- The Blazers battled on the road in Arlington, Virginia, this evening, but were unable to find the back of the net, falling 3-0 to Marymount University in a tough match up against the Saints on September 16.

How it Happened
 
The Blazers defense came out strong, with goalkeeper Adam Labows (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) making multiple saves in the opening minutes to keep Marymount's attack off the scoreboard. The Saints eventually broke through in the 12th minute, finding the back of the net to take an early 1-0 lead.

Hood's offense struggled to find its rhythm heading into halftime, managing just one shot in the opening 45 minutes. Despite the offensive struggles, the Blazers defense continued to stand tall, keeping Marymount to just one goal heading into the break. However, coming out of halftime the Saints struck again early, extending their lead to 2-0.

Following the second goal, the Blazers began to find their offensive rhythm, generating nine additional shots and putting pressure on the Saints goalkeeper. However, Hood was unable to capitalize on its opportunities. Marymount added its final goal in the 75th minute to push its lead to 3-0, which proved to be enough to hold off the Blazers through the final whistle.
