BRIDGEWATER, Va.--Liz Rakowski scored two goals and Laurie
Burrier added one but Hood fell behind 9-3 at halftime and dropped
a 14-3 decision to host Bridgewater Monday afternoon.
Laura Pitts assisted on all three goals for the Blazers, while
Lauren Leib finished with 13 saves.
Hood (3-4) took a 1-0 lead when Burrier scored just 2:15 into
the game, but Bridgewater countered with five unanswered goals.
After Rakowski pulled the Blazers to within 5-3 on a pair of
goals just over three minutes apart, the Eagles ripped off four
straight to close out the half with a 9-3 cushion.
Bridgewater (3-9) outscored Hood 5-0 in the second half to seal
the victory.
Lindsay Snyder led the Eagles with three goals, while Ashley
Andrick, Anne Fisher and Sarah Wade each had two goals and an
assist.
Hood returns to action Thursday when it hosts York at 4 p.m.
