ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--Three Blazers netted double figures but it
was not enough as the Hood College women's basketball team (1-8,
1-3 CAC) dropped an 81-49 decision to the St. Mary's College
Seahawks (6-1, 3-1 CAC) Saturday afternoon.
St. Mary's raced out to an early 11-2 lead and never trailed,
boasting a 56.4 shooting percentage for the game. Forward Allie
Scott, the Capital Athletic Conference's leading scorer, registered
a double-double of 23 points and 13 boards while teammate Steph
Saint-Aubin recorded a game-high 26 points on 11-of-13 shooting.
The trio of Jen Willison, Jessica Parrish and Brianna Raithel
contributed 10 points apiece for Hood while Sara Wastler burried
three triples for nine points. Wastler dished out four assists
while Parrish picked off three steals and also had four
assists.
The Blazers are idle until Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, when they
return to Gov. Thomas Johnson High School to host Penn State
University-York at 6 p.m.
