from the floor to defeat the Hood College men's basketball team,
71-58, in a Capital Athletic Conference game Tuesday evening at the
Verizon Sports Center.
Despite its third straight loss, the Blazers (16-6, 9-4 CAC)
remain in first place in the league standings by virtue of a St.
Maryýs College victory over second-place York College. The
Saints picked up their sixth win in their last seven games and
improve to 12-9, 7-6 CAC.
After a three-pointer by sophomore Tim Abercrombie knotted the
score at 17-17 with 6:45 to play in the first half, the Saints

locker room. Marymount limited the Blazers to just seven first-half
field goals.

in the second half. The Blazers, who lead the CAC in scoring
offense, were held to their second-lowest scoring total of the
season.

figures with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Senior Justin Junghans
and sophomore Chris LeGrand came off the bench to drain a pair of
three-pointers for six points apiece, representing season highs for
both guards. LeGrand also dished out three assists in just six
minutes of action.
