DOVER, Del.--Kyle Savidge scored a pair of first-half goals and
assisted on Jessie Nino's second half score to lift the Wesley
College Wolverines (8-3, 2-2 CAC) to a 3-0 Capital Athletic
Conference victory over the Hood College women's soccer team (1-8,
0-3 CAC) Wednesday evening.
A potent scoring tandem, Nino and Savidge rank one-two among the
CAC scoring leaders and have combined for 22 of Wesley's
league-best 57 goals on the year.
Freshman Cara Jordan fired off two shots on goal and junior
Jessica Parrish was also credited with a shot on net but Wolverine
keeper Brittany Block turned away all three attempts to record her
seventh shutout of the season.
Hood keeper Rachelle Buhrman made five stops for the Blazers, who
concluded their six-game road trip tonight and are set to return to
Thomas Athletic Field Friday to host Southern Virginia University
in a non-conference game at 4:30 p.m.
