FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--The No. 4 University of Mary Washington
Eagles (17-1, 10-0 CAC) used a balanced scoring attack to defeat
the Hood College women's basketball team (3-15, 1-9 CAC), 90-33,
Wednesday in a Capital Athletic Conference game at Goolrick Gym.
Junior Jessica Parrish connected on 4-of-6 from the field and
all four free throw attempts for a team-high 12 points, her fourth
double-figure scoring effort of the season. Sophomore Jen Willison
netted nine points and five rebounds while Whitney Schultheis
finished with eight points including a pair of three-pointers.
Four Eagles reached double figures paced by Katie Clarkin's
19-point effort off the bench.
The Blazers return home Saturday to host Gallaudet University at
6 p.m. at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. Hood will be looking for
the season sweep of the Bison.
