YORK, Pa.--The No. 13 York College (Pa.) Spartans (17-1, 10-0 CAC) defeated the Hood College women's basketball team (3-15, 1-8 CAC), 92-45, Wednesday in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

The Spartans connected on four of their first six shots from the floor, outscoring the Blazers 11-1 over the first 2:48 and never looked back en route to extending their school-record winning streak to 17.

Jessica Parrish knocked down three triples and finished with a team-high 16 points for Hood. Allyson Lethbridge tallied nine points and Jen Willison chipped in eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

York's April Sparkman poured in a game-high 22 points while Keli Ward recorded a double-double of 17 points and 10 assists.

Hood battles another nationally ranked CAC team Saturday when it hosts the University of Mary Washington at 2 p.m. at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School.
