FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's tennis team (7-7, 2-1
CAC) saw its four-game win streak come to an end Sunday, falling
6-1 to the visiting Salisbury University Sea Gulls (8-2, 2-0 CAC)
in a Capital Athletic Conference match.
The Blazers and Sea Gulls engaged in eight-game pro-sets for
this match. Senior Caitlin Erickson earned Hood's lone singles
victory, defeating Amy Worthington, 8-2, at the No. 6 spot.
Salisbury swept the doubles matches and the remaining three singles
contests, as first and third singles were not played due to limited
court time.
Hood returns to action Monday at Wilson College for a 3:30 p.m.
nonconference contest.
