WESTMINSTER Md.—The Hood College women's tennis team (2-2) defeated McDaniel (2-1) on Friday afternoon in the team's final matchup of the fall.
No. 1 Emily Maerz continued her impressive fall campaign winning her matchup in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. It took Hood's No. 2 Emily Schrodel three sets to defeat her opponent 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8). Hood's No. 4 Laura Saad and its No. 5 Sandra Dziadas were also straight set winners. In doubles action the team of Maerz and Schrodel won 8-1 and the team of Laura Saad and Kirsten Friend won 9-8 (7-3).
Hood is done for the fall season and will start up again in the spring.
