Box Score WASHINGTON, Pa.--Julia Banks and Kati Vu of the Hood College women's lacrosse team (1-4) both scored twice in a 16-6 nonconference setback to Washington & Jefferson College (1-0) Saturday afternoon.
Megan Feldtmose and Kelsey Blackwell also added single tallies for the Blazers, who trailed by just a 5-4 margin at halftime. But W&J broke open a close game with a 11-goal second half to earn their first win of the season.
Feldtmose registered her first collegiate goal to start things off for the Blazers just 1:37 into the contest. Vu finished the game with a trio of assists while Banks scooped up six ground balls and won four draws in defeat. Helene Butler stopped a season-high 12 shots in the net.
Hood returns back home to Thomas Athletic Field Wednesday hosting nonconference rival Lancaster Bible College at 3 p.m.
