ARLINGTON, Va.--Junior Katie Vu of the Hood College women's lacrosse team (4-10, 0-7 CAC) registered her fourth straight hat trick and fifth this season in a 20-7 Capital Athletic Conference foe Marymount University (5-8, 2-5 CAC) Saturday evening.

Vu continues to lead the Blazers in goals with 30, which matches the total scoring output from her freshman and sophomore years combined.

Caitlin Lawrence scored twice, one in each half, while Jen Civick and Julia Banks added single tallies.

After surrendering the first two goals of the game to MU's Lindsay Quinn, Hood scored back-to-back goals to tie the game at 2-2 less than nine minutes into the opening half. But from there, the Saints outscored the Blazers 13-1 the rest of the half and led 15-3 at halftime.

Hood nearly matched the Saints' scoring efficiency in the second half but was unable to carve into the deficit.

Helene Butler came up with three stops while Jennifer Fischer won four draws and forced two Saint turnovers.

The Blazers' final matchup of the 2011 season is slated for Wednesday against Stevenson University at 4 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field.
