Box Score 2 ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Hood College fell in both ends of a tri-match at Muhlenberg, falling to the Mules after a match with Washington earlier in the afternoon.
Against the Shorewomen, the Blazers fell 25-18, 25-23 and 25-20.
Amy Hagerdon (Berryville, Va. / Clarke County) paced Hood with six kills, five aces and 11.5 points. She also added 11 digs to her stat line, as well as three assists.
Brenna Elizondo (Littleton, Colo. / Heritage) dished out 13 assists and had 14 digs, both team-highs. Keesha Fields (Willow Hill, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) had 11 digs and Ashley Park-Brouse (Myersville, Md. / Middletown) notched two blocks.
In the second set, Hood led 22-19 after a service ace by Fields, but Washington battled back and tied the score at 22 apiece. After the Shorewomen took the lead, a kill by Elizondo off an assist by Allie Donoghue (Owings, Md. / Bishop McNamara) made it 24-23. Washington then finished off the set with a kill by Rachel Baker.
A kill by Park-Brouse made it 17-16 in the third set before Washington pulled away.
Muhlenberg took the match with Hood by scores of 25-15, 25-10 and 25-16.
Gabriela Enriquez (Frederick, Md. / Frederick) had a career-high eight kills to lead Hood. Fields added 14 digs. Elizondo had 11 assists and Kathryn Jones (Newfane, N.Y. / Newfane) dished out nine. Theresa Schwarzwalder (Columbia, Md. / Wilde Lake) served up three aces and both Donoghue and Park-Brouse had two blocks.
Hood returns to BB&T Arena on October 8 for a match with Elizabethtown.
