FROSTBURG, Md.--The Hood College women's tennis team (2-10) lost to the Frostburg State University Bobcats (7-8) by a margin of 7-2 in a nonconference match Thursday afternoon.
Emily Maerz was a double-winner once again, outlasting Megan Martin at first singles, 6-4, 7-5, and teamed with Olivia Hosch to defeat Martin and Megan Crowl, 8-3.
Sandra Dziadas put up a valiant effort at No. 3, falling 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 to Amber Beckman. Nalla Tejera won four games at fourth singles, while Mabie Tun took two from Kaitlin Lemmert at No. 5 and Aubrey Fetters won a game in the second set versus Kayla Kirk at No. 6.
Hood's next game is slated for Saturday at Commonwealth Conference rival Lebanon Valley College at noon.
