FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team shut out visiting FDU-Florham, taking all nine matches.

Olivia Hosch (Newport, R.I. / Cushing Academy) and Sandra Dziadas (Long Pond, Pa. / Pocono Mountain West) teamed for an 8-3 win at first doubles over Megan Scherer and Remy Astorino. At second doubles, Rachel Hall and Mable Tun (Frederick, Md. / Frederick) were 8-2 winners over Tenzin Lama and Trisha Paul.

Tun had the biggest win of singles action, dropping just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Paul at fourth singles. Hosch defeated Scherer 6-1, 6-4 at first singles. Dziadas won 6-2, 6-1 over Lama at third singles. Hall squeaked past Astorino 8-6 at second singles.

Hood had three wins by default in the match. Molly Masterson (Indiana, Pa. / Indiana) and Kendra Laster (Keedysville, Md. / Boonsboro) won by default at third doubles. Meaghan Donahue (Walkersville, Md. / Walkersville) and Laster won by default at fifth and sixth singles, respectively. 

The Blazer travels to Alvernia on April 14.
