ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Hood College women's tennis team dropped a Commonwealth Conference match at Elizabethtown, 9-0.
The Blazers dropped matching 8-3 scores at first and second doubles. Olivia Hosch (Newport, R.I. / Cushing Academy) and Rachel Hall (Glenelg, Md. / Glenelg) could not solve Christine Evangelista and Kaitlyn Pelligrino at No. 1 doubles. At second doubles, Sandra Dziadas (Long Pond, Pa. / Pocono Mountain West) and Mable Tun (Frederick, Md. / Frederick) fell to Lauren Berry and Taylor Helsel.
In singles, the Hall and Tun each captured three games in the closest calls during that portion of the match. Hall fell to Adriana Scotto at second singles 6-0, 6-3. Tun dropped a 6-1, 6-2 score to Berry at fourth singles.
The Blazers wrap up the regular season on April 26 when Albright visits the Hood College Tennis Complex.
