WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Hood College fell to Lycoming College 20-7 in Commonwealth Conference action this afternoon.

The Warriors jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Megan Feldtmose (Hereford, Pa. / Perkiomen) got the Blazers on the board with 14:27 left in the fist half. Kesley Harshman answered 61 seconds later to extend the lead back to 10 at 11-1.

After Lycoming scored two more goals Ashley Kitzmiller (Westminster, Md. / Manchester Valley) scored with 3:17 remaining to cut the deficit down to 13-2. April Ganz (Germantown, Md. / Seneca Valley) scored with 1:55 on the clock, with the assist from Christina Murphy (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls), to get Hood back within 10. 

Amber Graybill scored her fourth goal of the half at 1:27 and Savannah Fox scored her third of the half to send Lycoming into intermission with a 15-3 lead. 

Lycoming started off the second half scoring with a unassisted goal from Erica Spero with 26:05 on the clock. Kitzmiller answered with her second of the game at 24:20 to make the score 16-4. Taylor McGaughey (New Market, Md. / Oakdale) scored her first of two in the half with 20 minutes remaining, cutting the lead to 17-5.

Liz Francescone pushed the lead back up to 18-5 with 17:44 on the clock. Kitzmiller scored her final goal of the game just over six minutes later. 

McGaughey scored the final goal of the game with 92 seconds remaining, and Kitzmiller had the assist. 

Graybill had a game-high four goals, with Fox and Kitzmiller both finding the net three times. Lauren Couch (Crownsville, Md. / Old Mill) made seven stops for the Blazers and the Lycoming duo of Nicole Gerling (four saves) and Casey Martindale (eight saves) split time in net. 

Hood was unsuccesful on three free position shots, while the Warriors went 5-for-11.

The Blazers return to action on April 9 with an away clash against Stevenson.
