ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Hood College's Derian Le (Frederick, Md. / Gov. Thomas Johnson) had two goals in her collegiate debut, but the Blazers dropped the non-conference game against Elizabethtown, 15-4.

The Blue Jay's Addie Stang had three goals and one assist as Elizabethtown led the Blazers 7-0 at halftime. 

Hood opened scoring strong in the second half with two goals in the first two minutes (7-2). Le had found the back of the net with 29:20 on the clock and Jade Locklear (Baltimore, Md. / Chesapeake) followed with a goal less than a minute later.

Stang added two more goals for Elizabethtown for a 9-2 lead with 23:35 to go.

Shay Braithwaite (Montgomery Village, Md. / Watkins Mill) scored off free position shot with 18:47 remaining, and two minutes later, Le did the same and pulled the Blazers within five, 9-4.

Stang added her sixth goal of the season half way through the period for a 10-4 lead.

The Blue Jay's closed out the game with five goals in the final 11 minutes for a 15-4 victory. 

Lauren Couch (Crownsville, Md. / Old Mill) stopped 16 shots for Hood. The saves put her at 406 career saves, only the second Blazer in school history to reach 400. The junior led the Blazers with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers. Le added five ground balls, Aleyna Fitz (Brunswick, Md. / Brunswick) had four draw controls and Meosha Jupiter (Waldorf, Md. / Thomas Stone) had three ground balls.

Stang led Elizabethtown with six goals and one assist. The sophomore also added nine ground balls. Adriana Bertolino and Cierra Eckenrode each had two goals. Kaite Thompson had eight ground balls and five caused turnovers. Michelle Fuller had five saves.

Hood looks to get into the win column against Penn St.-Abington on March 3.
