Box Score FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College dropped a Commonwealth Conference game to Lebanon Valley, 20-7.
Darien Le (Frederick, Md. / Gov. Thomas Johnson) led the Blazers with four goals. Jade Locklear (Baltimore, Md. / Chesapeake) had one goal and five draw controls. Shay Braithwaite (Montgomery Village, Md. / Watkins Mill) added a goal and three draw conrols. Aleyna Fitz (Brunswick, Md. / Brunswick) had a team-high four ground balls and a game-high three caused turnovers. Megan Ramsey (Chestertown, Md. / Queen Anne's County) notched three draw controls and three ground balls. Lauren Couch (Crownsville, Md. / Old Mill) tied her season-high in saves with 19.
The Dutchmen took the lead with a six-goal run with 17:29 to go in the first half. Christina Murphy (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) had a free position shot with 13:05 on the clock to get Hood on the board, 6-1.
LVC scored four more goals over a five minute stretch before Le had the final goal of the half for a 10-2 deficit.
Lebanon Valley opened the scoring in the second half, but Le struck again at 25:51 and Locklear had a free position goal a minute later to make it 11-4.
The Dutchmen added two more goals and the Blazers responded with two eight-meter goals from Le and Braithwaite, 13-6. LVC regained control and had a six-goal run for a 19-6 advantage with seven minutes remaining. Le found the back of the net for a final Blazer goal but ultimately fell, 20-7.
Sam Boyce led Lebanon Valley with four goals and one assist. Bailey Benz notched three goals, four assists and five ground balls. Kirsten Bannan added three goals. Tori Kuntz had five ground balls and four draw controls. Shelby Morris stopped five shots in goal during the first half and Mikayla Freed made one save in the second half.
Hood travels to Widener for a conference matchup on March 28 at 1 p.m.
