MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - Hood College dropped a Commonwealth Conference match, 9-0, to Messiah.

At first doubles, Olivia Hosch (Newport, R.I. / Cushing Academy) and Meaghan Donahue (Walkersville, Md. / Walkersville) took one game from Ashli Livermore and Kelly Hopkins, but fell 8-1.

Donahue had the closest singles match for the Blazers, but was topped by Sydney Schandel 6-2, 6-0 at fourth singles.

Michelle Shedd (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) dropped her match at second singles against Hopkins, 6-0, 6-1. At fifth singles, Diane Akakpo (Waldorf, Md. / McDonough) won one game, but fell 6-0, 6-1 to Carly Dove.
