FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team has its first match of the spring, as they face Fairleigh Dickinson University Florham March 11 at 2:30 pm.
SCOUTING THE BLAZERS
Hood enters the match with a 1-5 record. Michelle Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown) leads the team with a 4-4 singles record, while Olivia Hosch (Newport, R. I./Cushing Academy) Meaghan Donahue (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) have two wins each. For doubles, Donahue and Aubrey Fetters (Frostburg, Md. Bishop Walsh) have four wins, while Hosch and Shedd hold two.
SCOUTING FDU FLORHAM
The Devils are 4-1 this year, most recently falling to Drew University 8-1 on February 26. Remy Astorino and Allyson Wolf lead the team with four wins apiece.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hood College tennis team ended their fall season last time out on October 17, 2015 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships. Donahue and Fetters finished as runners-up for third doubles in the conference.
LAST MEETING
In the 2013-14 season, Hood swept FDU Florham 9-0, with Hosch leading the way, winning in singles as well as picking up a big doubles win with Sandra Dziadas.
