Box Score READING, Pa. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team fell in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest at Albright, 22-2.
Jade Locklear (Baltimore, Md. / Chesapeake) had a goal and an assist. Christina Murphy (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) scored once. Anne Lessard (Natick, Mass. / Natick) had four draw controls. Lauren Couch (Crownsville, Md. / Old Mill) made nine saves.
Locklear's two points gave her 40 for the season, making her just the sixth person in school history to have at least one 40-point season.
Tori Meyer scored two quick goals for the Lions before Locklear's score with 25 minutes and 39 seconds left in the first half cut it to 2-1. Albright scored the next 10 goals before Murphy took a feed from Locklear with 3:39 to play in the half to make it 12-2. The Lions added another goal to lead 13-2 at halftime.
Erin Farrell led Albright with four goals and two assists. Jacqui Montague scored three goals and added three assists. Meyer and Mariah Cullen had three goals apiece. Cullen had six draw controls and Amanda Smith caused three turnovers. Emily Hutson got the start in goal and made three saves in 27 minutes.
Hood hosts No. 19 Messiah on Apr. 13.
