OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest at Stevenson 20-5.

Jade Locklear (Baltimore, Md. / Chesapeake) scored twice for the Blazers and had six draw controls. Christina Murphy (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) added a goal and two assists. Taylor McGaughey (New Market, Md. / Oakdale) and Bre Durham (Millersville, Md. / Seton Keough) each scored once. Courtney Hayes (Columbia, Md. / Chapelgate Christian Academy) caused two turnovers. Lauren Couch (Crownsville, Md. / Old Mill) made 11 saves. 

The Mustangs jumped ahead 14-0 at halftime, but Hood scored the first three goals of the second half. Durham, Murphy and Locklear all scored and the defense held Stevenson without a score for the first 13 minutes and six seconds of the second half. 

Olivia Monteiro had five goals and three assists to lead Stevenson. Tori Bruno added four goals. Carli Bafford had five ground balls and Monteiro netted six draw controls. Hannah DePadua made four saves in the second half. 

Hood hosts Arcadia on Senior Day on Apr. 30 at 1 p.m.
