DOVER, Del. - The Hood College women's soccer team held a Wesley offense that had scored 17 goals in its past four games to just five shots on net as the two teams battled to a scoreless draw in non-conference action.

• Rachel Knoebel made five saves to pick up her second shutout of the season. 
• The Blazers held Division III's leading goal scorer, Aleya Cummings, to just a single shot on goal in the contest. Hood is just the second opponent all season to hold the freshman off the scoreboard. 

Game Recap

• Hood threatened in the first minute, with a shot on net by KC Miller. 
• The Wolverines had few clean looks in the game. Wesley had 27 shots, but a back four that featured a rotation of Kielee Jennings, Ashley Wiedemann, Elien Comhaire, Erin Scarborough and Mickayla Bachar limited quality chances. Only five were recorded as on net and 22 shots were off target.
• The defense came up big during the two extra periods, holding a beleagured Wolverine squad to just one shot on goal. 

Notes

• It was the first tie of the year for both sides. Hood moved to 2-4-1 on the year, while Wesley is 4-2-1.
• Sam Brannigan made 13 saves for the Wolverines.
