GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Hood College women's tennis team opened both the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth and spring portions of its schedule with a 9-0 loss to Messiah. 

How it Happened

• Messiah won both contested doubles matches by 8-0 scores. 
• In singles play, Michelle Shedd lost to Kelly Hopkins at first singles 6-1, 6-2. 
• Autumn Manche made her debut for the Blazers and played fourth singles, falling to Emily Wichert 6-1, 6-1.
