FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the year with a 9-0 victory against Trinity Washington.
How it Happened
- Sophie Smith, Megan Carter, and Skylar Wright did not drop games during singles or doubles play.
- Smith teamed with Michelle Shedd for an 8-0 win at first doubles over Gabrielle Clary and Kayla Suarez. Smith then won 6-0, 6-0 over Hernandez at third singles.
- Carter and Wright teamed up for an 8-0 victory at second doubles against Hernandez and Lima-Leon. Carter won 6-0, 6-0 at second singles against Suarez, while Wright matched her result at fourth singles against Lima-Leon.
- Kara Conway breezed through her singles match 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 against Rivas. She and doubles teammate Nicole Epstein won 8-2 at third doubles.
- Shedd won at first singles 6-1, 6-2 against Clary, while Epstein defeated Nelson by the same score at sixth singles.

- The Tigers dropped to 0-2.
