FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team notched a 9-0 win at McDaniel in non-conference play to open the spring for the Blazers.
Doubles
- The Blazers did not drop a game in doubles play.
- Megan Carter and Skylar Wright defeated Michelle Addo and Lia Posatko 8-0 at first doubles.
- Jennifer Slick and Abbey Bloom won by an identical score at second doubles against Reaiah Rutherford and Akire Gaines.
Singles
- Carter won 6-0, 6-0 against Addo at first singles.
- Wright dropped just one game against Posatko at second singles, winning 6-0, 6-1.
- Slick was a 6-2, 6-3 winner at third singles over Rutherford.
- Bloom notched a 6-0, 6-0 victory in her match at fourth singles over Gaines.
Notes
- The match gave the Blazers' new head coach, Blaine Davies, a victory in his first match.
- Hood accepted forfeits at third doubles, fifth singles and sixth singles.
