WINCHESTER, Va. - The Hood College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 final to Shenandoah in non-conference action. 

Doubles

• The duo of Megan Carter and Skylar Wright won at first doubles 8-2 over Madison Hansen and Megan Hillyard. 
• The Blazers' duo at second doubles of Jennifer Slick and Jordan Bailey lost on a tiebreaker to Emma Crue and Madison Rogers 8-7 (7-5).

Singles

• Carter and Wright each won again for Hood's other points. Carter won 6-1, 6-2 over Hansen at first singles, while Wright was a 6-1, 6-1 winner against Rogers at No. 2.
• Slick lost in a tiebreaker at third singles to Crue 2-6, 6-3, 12-10. 

Notes

• Hood is 4-4 on the season.
• The Hornets are 3-3.
