READING, Pa. - The Hood College women's tennis team won at No. 1 doubles but Alvernia captured the remainder of the matches in an 8-1 final in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play. 

How it Happened

• Megan Carter and Skylar Wright teamed up for an 8-7 win over Amanda Phillips and Arian Chuprinsky at first doubles. 
• Carter played the closest singles match, falling to Phillips 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1.
