ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The Hood College women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win at St. Mary's (Md.) in non-conference action.

- Ann Ofoegbu (Falling Waters, WV/Spring Mills) had 13 kills to lead Hood, while Carrington Ray (Washington, DC/St. Andrew's Episcopal), Caitlin Ambruster (Fleetwood, PA/Brandywine Heights) and Olivia Todd (Charlotte, NC/Cox Mill) added nine each. - St. Mary's appeared to have control of the set when a block by Grace Gilmore and Nancy Slaughter put the Seahawks ahead 24-20.
- The Blazers, however, rattled off four straight points, including back-to-back kills by Ofoegbu to tie the set at 24-24.
- Hood faced set point two more times before consecutive kills by Ray gave the Blazers the 28-26 win.
Hood 25, St. Mary's 17
- Hood tailed 15-13 but closed the set with a 12-2 run to take the match.
- Ray, Todd and Ambruster combined for seven kills in the run, while the Blazers did not commit an attack error during the stretch.
