BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - The Hood College field hockey team wrapped up away contests for the 2022 season with a trip to Bryn Athyn College on Tuesday.

- Kate Bentz (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg), Abby Chiavetta (San Jose, CA/Leland), Julia Dean (Eldersburg, MD/Century) and Kate Haufe (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) led the Blazers with two goals each.

How It Happened
- Hood jumped out to the early 3-0 lead four minutes into the first quarter. Bentz, Barnhart and Dean all scored unassisted tallies for Hood.
- The Blazers ended the first quarter with two more strikes by Haufe and Cencetti to earn the 5-0 lead going into the second half.
- Neither team scored in the second half but Hood led the quarter 3-1 in shots.
- Chiavetta scored twice coming out of halftime off a Bentz assist and a penalty stroke. Dean also added her second of the game off a Haufe assist to extend the Blazer lead 8-0 going into the final quarter.
- The lone fourth-quarter goal was scored by Haufe in the 48th minute to secure the 10-0 victory.
Analysis
- Hood held the advantage 34-3 in shots with 24 on goal and 10-2 in corners.
For the Opponent
- Alexis Brown took a team-high two shots for Bryn Athyn.
- Veronica Diaz played all 60 minutes and made 13 saves.
