Box Score FREDERICK, Md. -- The Hood College women's tennis team could not complete a comeback after doubles, eventually falling 6-3 to Mount Aloysius at home on Sunday afternoon.

Doubles

• The Blazers found themselves in a hole after being swept in the doubles matches. Both the first and second positions were very tight with Anna Frye (Frederick, Md., Tuscarora) and Gigi Falzone (Buffalo, N.Y., Amherst Central) falling 8-6 and Cori Mark (Bel Air, Md., Bel Air) and Lauren Sheffler (Williamsport, Md., Williamsport) going to a tiebreak but losing 8-7 (9-7).

Singles

• Frye continued her excellent start to her first-year campaign with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles.
• Falzone won at No. 4 singles 7-5, 6-3.
• At sixth singles, Mikayla Bond (Hanover, Pa./South Western) defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-2.
