Mount Aloysius 25, Hood 19
- Hood jumped ahead 4-1 before three aces by Austin Plummer and a pair by Connor O'Mealia fueled a 14-5 run for the Mounties made it 15-9.
- The Blazers rallied with three straight points, including two Fitzkee kills, but never got closer than four points after that.
Mount Aloysius 25, Hood 22
- Hood started fast again in the second set, taking a 4-2 lead behind kills by Javier Rojas, Fitzkee and Odor.
- After the Mounties went ahead 7-6, Hood scored four of the next five points to reclaim the lead, 10-8.
- A 13-5 run by Mount Aloysius followed and took control of the set.
- Hood tried to mount a comeback, fighting off three straight set points to pull within 24-22 beore an Andrew Wlodarczyk kill ended the set.
Mount Aloysius 25, Hood 18
- Javier Rojas had two kills and a block as the Blazers once again jumped out to an early lead, 5-2.
- A 10-2 Mountie run that featured three more Plummer aces made it 12-7.
- Hood pulled within two points on three occasions but was unable to get any closer.
Analysis
- Hood hit .183 in the match, while Mount Aloysius finished at .242.
- The Mounties service game proved too much for the Blazers as Mount Aloysius racked up 17 aces.
For the Opponent
- Plummer had six of those aces, while O'Mealia added five. O'Mealia had 25 assists.
- Matthew Franz finished with 11 kills.
