Aaron Hoke announced as Men's Volleyball head coach

FREDERICK, Md. – Aaron Hoke has been appointed as the new head men's volleyball coach at Hood College, announced by Dr. Susan Kolb. This will be Hood's first time with a head coach dedicated to just the men's team.

"I'm looking forward to growing the men's volleyball program at Hood," said Hoke. "We have a lot of talent and potential to do some incredible things on and off the court and the chance to work with them and help them grow as people and players is something I'm incredibly excited about."

Hoke arrives after five seasons at the helm of Wilson College's men's volleyball program in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and was named United East Coach of the Year back in 2025.

The Wilson program this past season finished with their best record in program history with 17 wins and and a .654 winning percentage. The team was decorated with seven student-athletes selected to the United East all-conference team. Hoke provided some of the best recruitment numbers the program has seen and challenged his team to perform well in the classroom.

"My time at Wilson is something that I'll truly cherish," said Hoke. "We accomplished so much over my time there and I couldn't be more grateful for all of the incredible athletes I had the privilege of working with."

Hood has had the privilege of facing Hoke as an annual opponent, putting together exciting matches between the teams.

"I'm looking forward to him now being a member of our team at Hood and leading our men's volleyball program to a new level of success," said Dr. Kolb.

"Our strategic focus in athletics has been to build the infrastructure to support the competitive success of our athletic programs, and by splitting our coaching duties with a full-time coach for women and a full-time coach for men, we believe this is a great step for both programs.  As our first full-time, men's volleyball coach, we feel that Aaron will connect with players during the recruiting process and develop them into top-tier students, athletes and people at Hood."

Hoke is a 2019 graduate of Wilson and was a four-year starter for the men's volleyball program. He is one of the most decorated players in the short history of the men's volleyball program. He was an all-conference performer his senior year and holds the Wilson record for career kills, attacks and points.

The men's volleyball team will kick off their campaign in January 2027.
