FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's volleyball team came from behind for its first road win in school history, 3-2 over host Immaculata.

- After dropping the first two sets, the Blazers rallied to win 20-25, 12-25, 25-21, 25-23 and 15-13.

- Will Javier Rojas (Reading, Pa./Reading) paced the Blazers with 17 kills and 11 digs.
- Marc Fitzkee (York, Pa./Central York) had 15 kills, 16 digs and added two service aces.

- Hood got within two points of Immaculata at the 7-5 mark but never could get over the hump committing double-digit errors for the second straight set.
Hood 25, Immaculata 21
- Hood grabbed its biggest lead of the match 18-11 in the second set, as Immaculata made back-to-back attack errors at the end of the 4-0 run.
- The Mighty Macs used a 5-0 run that brought them within two, with the score at 18-16.
- Fitzkee ended the set with two straight kills to force a fourth set in the match.
Hood 25, Immaculata 23
- Jack Debes's kill put the Mighty Macs ahead 7-3 to start the fourth set, but Hood used seven errors from Immaculata to mount an 8-0 run for an 11-7 lead.
- The closest Immaculata got was when the score was tied 12-12, but the Blazers took the lead at the very next point and forced a fifth and final set.
Hood 15, Immaculata 13
- Fitzkee and Javier Rojas combined for seven kills in the final set to give Hood the three-set comeback win over the Mighty Macs.
Analysis
- Hood had 39 kills, compared to 40 for the Might Macs.
- The Blazers edged Immaculata in blocks 3-1.
- Hood finished with 36 assists to the Mighty Macs' 33.
