FREDERICK, Md. – Hood College's
Owen McDermott (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and
Rio Muldoon (Prince Frederick, Md./DeMatha Catholic) scored four goals apiece and combined for 15 points as the men's lacrosse team defeated visiting King's 16-5 in non-conference action.

- Hood scored in the game's first minute, when Muldoon fed Robbie Wiley (York, Pa./Central York) for a 1-0 lead.
- The Monarchs got on a roll just after that, scoring three of the next four goals to take the lead. Ben Spencer, Ryan Lynch and Jack Wall all scored in the next six-and-a-half minutes, with a McDermott score keeping the Blazers within 3-2 midway through the period.
- King's lead last less than 90 seconds and it was less than two minutes later that Hood got out in front. Colby Gallagher (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) scored off an assist by Adam Weintraub (Pleasanton, Calif./De La Salle) at 6:03 to tie things up and 31 seconds later, McDermott's second of the day made it 4-3.
- Those two scores started a 10-goal rally for the Blazers that lasted into the second half.
- The Blazers' 5-0 second quarter made it 8-3 and Muldoon scored two of the opening three goals of the second half as Hood led by nine with 7:41 to go in the third.
