FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-2 lead, but Messiah scored 10 of the next 11 goals and went on to defeat the Blazers 14-10 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.

How it Happened
- Six different players scored in the first quarter for the Blazers as they jumped out to a 6-2 lead after Wiley scored with 2:26 left in the period.
- Despite the promising start, Hood would not score again until Wiley found the back of the net at 2:29 of the third period. In between, the Falcons scored seven straight goals. After Messiah pulled within 6-5 at halftime, Aaron Shaw had two of the Falcons' four goals in the third for a 9-6 lead.
- After Wiley's goal made it a two-goal game heading to the fourth, Ben Antel won the opening faceoff of the fourth and scored for a 10-7 lead. Goals by Chad Teresky and Nathan Branson stretched Messiah's edge to 12-7 with 11:26 on the clock.
- Hood tried to rally with three goals in a span of just over three minutes. Wiley's third goal came during a Messiah penalty at 10:47. The Blazers scored just 34 seconds later on Muldoon's only goal of the night. He then assisted on Jay Lanigan's (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) goal at 7:38 to make it 12-10.
- Teresky pushed Messiah advantage back to three at 3:07 and Seth Libby scored on an empty net with 32 seconds to play.
